The EU4Ocean Summer School on Ocean Literacy & Collaboration is an intensive 5-day training program focusing on ocean projects and nature-based solutions in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. Scheduled from June 29 to July 4, 2025, in Venice, Italy, this fourth edition emphasizes nature-based solutions, focusing on the Mediterranean and Black Seas.

EU4Ocean Summer School will bring together 20 students and early-career professionals from EU and non-EU countries to develop skills in collaboration, ocean science, and sustainability. The program empowers participants to lead a cultural shift in ocean science, fostering trans-disciplinarity, equity, inclusion, diverse knowledge systems, and international cooperation. The application deadline is March 16, 2025, by 11:00 PM CET.

    • Individuals up to 35 years old, enrolled in or graduated from a Master’s or PhD program, or early-career professionals passionate about the ocean.
  • What costs are covered?
    • Accommodation (shared double rooms), breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, and a welcome dinner. Travel and other dinners are not covered.
  • What is the application deadline?
    • March 16, 2025, by 11:00 PM CET. Successful applicants will be notified by March 21, 2025.
  • Is there an online component?
    • Yes, an online self-paced module will be available before the in-person program.
