The NATO Internship Programme 2026 offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience at NATO Headquarters. This internship programme offers six-month internships at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, for students in their third year of university or recent graduates of bachelor’s or master’s programs. It provides hands-on experience in various fields such as political affairs, defense and security, innovation, communications, human resources, and more.

Interns are responsible for:

  • Must be proficient in English or French (knowledge of the second or other languages is a plus).

  • For Graduates: Copy of the highest degree obtained
  • For Current Students: Proof of enrollment with clearly stated dates
  • Documents should be in English or French; if not, provide a translation

  2. Assessment: Complete an online assessment, including business games and a recorded video interview, via HireVue.
  3. Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews between July and September.
  4. Security Clearance: Upon selection, initiate the security clearance process, which may take 6–8 months.
