The Stamps Scholarship is the most prestigious merit-based award at the University of Miami, providing full financial coverage for outstanding high school seniors. This scholarship is awarded to exceptional and academically accomplished high school seniors. It is an excellent opportunity for all outstanding and talented students to study in the USA and fulfill their dreams of becoming part of the University of Miami. The Stamps Scholarship includes tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, University health insurance, textbooks, a laptop allowance, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund, which may be used toward study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational pursuits. (Enrichment fund expenses are subject to prior approval by the Office of the Provost.)

  1. Nationality: Open to students from any country.
  2. Admission Requirement: Must apply via Early Decision I or Early Action for admission.
  3. GPA Requirement: A minimum 3.0 GPA must be maintained annually.
  4. Credit Hours: Scholars need to complete 24 credit hours per year, with a minimum of 12 credits per semester.
  5. Full-time Enrollment: Continuous enrollment with full-time status throughout the program.
  6. Additional Consideration: Candidates must demonstrate leadership potential, academic excellence, and community involvement to be selected as semi-finalists and finalists​
  7. English Proficiency: Applicant must have English test scores of TOEFL or IELTS.
  8. Architecture applicants must submit test scores or must submit a portfolio.
  9. All Music applicants have to complete an audition as part of the evaluation process.
  10. The candidate must be academically exceptional.
  • The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors based on a thorough evaluation of their application and supporting documents.
  • Semi-finalist candidates for the Stamps Scholarship are required to interview via Zoom with the Stamps Scholarship Selection Committee in January. 
  • Finalists will be selected based on a review of the admissions application and supporting documents, including their Zoom interview, and notified of their status as finalists at the time of admission in late January.
  • Finalists will also be interviewed by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation thereafter and Stamps Scholarship announcements will be made by early March.

Candidates shortlisted as semi-finalists will also participate in an interview and submit additional essay responses before final selection​

  3. Finalists undergo an interview with the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.
  4. Award announcements are expected by March 2025.
