  • Applicants born with foreign nationality but having one or both parents as Chinese citizens settled abroad must meet these requirements to apply for a bachelor’s degree as a foreign student:
    • Hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for over 4 years.
    • Have lived abroad for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (up to April 30 of the admission year). A stay of 9 months in a year counts as 1 year, based on entry and exit stamps.
    • Provide proof of renouncing Chinese nationality.
  • HSK4 for science and engineering programs: A minimum score of 260
  • HSK5 for arts, social science, and medical programs: A minimum score of 200 
  • IELTS: A minimum score of 6
  • TOFEL: 85

Those who meet one of the following conditions are exempt from proving their linguistic competence:

  • Applicants whose first language or the country’s official language is Chinese or English.
  • Applicants who have taken a degree program whose teaching language is in Chinese or English.

  • Highest graduation certificate (If the applicant is currently a student, the pre-graduation certificate issued by the school is required)
  • Stamped Transcript of the highest diploma
  • HSK Transcript for Chinese-taught programs and IELTS\TOEFL for English-taught programs
  • Non-criminal record in Chinese/English with an official stamp
  • Physical Examination Record.
  • Self-introduction video: Within one minute (The video must be in MP4 format with a capacity of less than 40MB.)
  • Personal Statement: Statement of not receiving any scholarships or forms of funding
  • Two different recommendation letters from professors/associate professors with detailed contacts. The signature date shall be after October 1, 2024.
  • Study Plan of no less than 1000 words.
  • The proposal of a doctoral student shall be signed by the applicant’s supervisor
  • Acceptance letter.
  • Published essays, CV, or any other supporting materials. (for graduate applicants only)
