The Erasmus Mundus MemBioMed Scholarship 2025-2027 offers a fully funded opportunity for students worldwide to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in the biology of biomembranes. The International MemBioMed Master’s Program is a top-tier, fully integrated degree focusing on biomembrane research. Offered by Université Côte d’Azur (France), University of Genoa (Italy), and University of Osnabrück (Germany), Erasmus Mundus MemBioMed Scholarship combines expertise in teaching, research, and cutting-edge technology.

Each semester includes theoretical courses, lab rotations, and research projects in university labs or private industry. The final semester is dedicated to a Master’s thesis at one of the partner institutions. To support transitions between universities, the Erasmus Mundus MemBioMed Scholarship includes orientation events, integration weeks, kick-off days, and a summer school. The Master’s Program will begin on September 1st, 2025, in Nice, France, at the Université Côte d’Azur.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology (180 ECTS) required.

  • Research and lab experience preferred.
  • Final-year students can apply but must submit proof of graduation by July.

  • Minimum requirement (any one of the following):
    • TOEFL: 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based, each ≥22), or 93 (internet-based)
    • IELTS: 6.5
    • CEFR level B2
    • University Language Center certificate proving academic-level English
    • Cambridge C2 Proficiency (CPE) or C1 Advanced (CAE) 180 (minimum score 176 per component)
  • Exemption: Students who studied at least one year in an English-language institution.
  • Oral English skills will be assessed in the interview stage (Phase 3).
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) – Preferably in Europass format.
  • Cover Letter – Max. 1000 words, explaining motivation, academic background, and career goals.
  • Passport or National ID Scan – Must meet visa requirements.
  • Degree Certificates & Transcripts – With official English translations. If not yet received, submit an official letter from the university.
  • 1st Cycle Degree (Bachelor’s) in Life Sciences – Minimum 180 ECTS credits. If not completed, submit current transcripts & enrollment proof.
  • Course List & Grade Descriptions – Certified English translation required.
  • 2 Recommendation Letters – Must be sent directly by referees to clemence.benoit@univ-cotedazur.fr with subject: “Reference letter + Candidate’s Name”.
  • English Proficiency Proof – Check official requirements.

Phase 1: Eligibility Check

  • Verified by application platforms after the deadline.
  • Ensures minimum requirements (degree, English proficiency, documents) are met.
  • Reviewed by three academic coordinators from partner institutions.

Final Registration

  • Year 1: Enrolled at UniCA (coordinating university) and UniGe.
  • Year 2: Enrolled at UniCA, UniGe, and UOS for multiple diplomas.
