Erasmus Mundus QUARMEN Scholarship 2025-27: Europe

The Erasmus Mundus QUARMEN Scholarship for the 2025-27 academic cycle is a fully funded program designed to cultivate expertise in Quantum Science and Technology. Over two years, students will engage with leading institutions across Europe and Canada, preparing them for the forefront of the quantum revolution. The QUARMEN master is proposed by a consortium of 4 universities.

Erasmus Mundus QUARMEN Scholarship trains students in key quantum concepts and technologies, preparing them for careers in research and industry. Graduates will develop innovative ideas and work in top academic and industrial labs. The application deadline is March 16, 2025.

Erasmus Mundus QUARMEN Scholarship Program Structure

Erasmus Mundus QUARMEN Scholarship Benefits:

Full Tuition Coverage: Full fee waiver for tuition and enrollment
Monthly Stipend: A monthly allowance of €1,400 is provided for 24 months, totaling €33,600.
Travel and Visa Costs: Expenses related to travel and visa applications are covered.
Installation and Subsistence Costs: Additional support is provided for settling into new environments.

Benefits Not Included:

The scholarship covers most expenses, but it does not include personal costs such as leisure activities, personal travel unrelated to the program, and other non-essential expenditures.

Eligibility Criteria for Erasmus Mundus QUARMEN Scholarship:

Academic Background: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS or equivalent) in Physics or a related field (e.g., Physics Engineering, Computer Science & Physics, Mathematics & Physics).
Related fields must include substantial coursework in core physics subjects, such as:
- Experimental Physics
- Theoretical Physics
- Mathematical Physics
- Condensed Matter
- Quantum Mechanics
Without these core courses, applicants are not eligible.
Admission to Sapienza University includes meeting the prerequisites for the first semester.
Admission to the University of Toronto depends on performance in the first semester and career objectives.
English proficiency required (TOEFL, IELTS, or other proof).
Prior Erasmus Mundus Scholarship: Candidates who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship are ineligible.
Mobility Requirement: Students must study in at least two countries different from their country of residence.

Mobility Preferences:

Indicate preferred mobility locations for Semester 2 and Semester 3 in the application.
Limited places (5) available at the University of Toronto for Semester 3.
Final Semester 3 mobility choice will be based on academic results and career goals, discussed with coordinators.
