The King Saud University Initiative 2025-26 offers fully funded scholarships to outstanding international students who wish to pursue higher degrees. The King Saud University Initiative aims to attract talented and distinguished graduate students from Saudi Arabia and around the world to pursue Ph.D. degrees in selected programs at KSU, Riyadh. Approved by the KSU Board of Directors, the initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030 by strengthening higher education and scientific research as key drivers of sustainable development.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Hold a Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Meet English proficiency requirements:
    • TOEFL iBT (minimum 61) or IELTS (minimum 6) or STEP (minimum 85).
    • Waiver possible if Master’s degree was earned in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Provide a Curriculum Vitae (CV), preferably with a recent publication or patent.
  • Write and submit a Statement of Purpose.
  • GRE General Test is preferable but not mandatory (unless required by specific programs).
  • Attend a personal interview if requested (virtual or in-person).
