KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2025-26: Indonesia

The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a prestigious initiative by the Indonesian Government, offering fully funded opportunities for students from developing countries to pursue degrees at top Indonesian universities. The KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship provides financial support for international students from developing countries to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees at top universities in Indonesia. By studying at one of 31 partner universities, students will enhance their academic, cultural, linguistic, and life skills, preparing them to become adaptable and socially aware professionals.

The KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship not only covers academic studies but also immerses students in Indonesia’s rich culture, language, and social life. The KNB Scholarship is available to students from developing countries or those with bilateral ties to Indonesia. It offers opportunities to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate at one of 34 participating Indonesian universities, with a choice of 1,286 study programs. Applications for the 2025-26 intake typically close in 23 February 2025

Academic Requirement:

  • Must hold a High School degree (provide scanned certificate and academic transcripts in English or Bahasa).
  • Bachelor’s degree holders are not eligible for the Bachelor’s scholarship.

  • TOEFL iBT: 53
  • IELTS: 5.5
  • TOEIC: 510
  • The certificate must be from the last 2 years.
  • Maximum Age: 35 years old.

Educational Qualification:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts required in English or Bahasa).
  • Master’s degree holders are not eligible for the Master’s scholarship.

Must provide one of the following scores (obtained within the last 2 years):

  • TOEFL ITP: 500
  • TOEFL iBT: 61
  • IELTS: 6.0
  • TOEIC: 575
  • Maximum Age: 40 years old.

Educational Background:

  • Must hold a Master’s degree (provide scanned certificate and transcripts in English or Bahasa).
  • Doctorate Holders: Not eligible for the Doctorate Degree scholarship.
  • Recommendation Letter: Must provide a letter from a potential research supervisor at a KNB partner university (in English or Bahasa).
  • Statement of Purpose: Must include the purpose of studies, interest in Indonesia, research topic, and academic future plans (in English or Bahasa).

  • Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools (in English or Bahasa)
  • Academic Certificate and Transcript from high school (in English or Bahasa)
  • Proof of Citizenship: Official passport (valid for at least 2 more years)
