Koc University Turkish Scholarship 2025-26: Turkey

The Koc University Turkish Scholarship, funded by the Turkish Government, offers financial support to international students pursuing undergraduate, master’s, or Ph.D. programs. It also provides academicians and post-doctoral researchers opportunities to collaborate with Turkish institutions. Koç University ranked #1 in Turkey (2024 QS World University Rankings). All International Students worldwide are eligible to apply for Koc University Turkish Scholarship.

Since 2019, Koç University has partnered with Turkish Scholarships to offer joint scholarships, including 5 undergraduate scholarships (excluding Medicine, Law, and Nursing), 10 master’s scholarships (for thesis programs, excluding Clinical Psychology, LL.M, and non-thesis programs), 20 Ph.D. scholarships, and 5-10 research scholarships for Ph.D. students and academicians. The application deadline is typically in February each year.

While the scholarship is comprehensive, it may not cover personal expenses such as:

  • Personal leisure activities
  • Additional course materials
  • Off-campus housing (if chosen)

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be international students
  • Meet the specific academic requirements of the chosen program
  • GPA Requirements
    • No minimum GPA for most applicants
    • Ph.D. applicants with only a Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00
  • Demonstrate academic excellence and potential
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum 80 (with at least 20 in writing). Must be taken at a State University in Turkey.
  • PTE Academic: Minimum 67.
  • Cambridge CAE/CPE: Minimum Grade C.
  • YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL: Minimum 80 (only for Turkish nationals and residents).
  • IELTS: Not accepted.
  • International Applicants: TOEFL iBT required.
  • Turkish Applicants: TOEFL iBT optional; YÖKDİL/YDS accepted (minimum 80).
