The MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP) 2025 offers young professionals from the Middle East and North Africa the opportunity to attend fully-funded short courses in the Netherlands, lasting between 2 and 13 weeks. Funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Shiraka programme and managed by Nuffic, the MSP aims to build capacity within organizations and strengthen ties between participating countries and the Netherlands through strong alumni networks

Courses are offered in English or French and vary by country, based on priority themes. With a focus on short, practical courses, the MENA Scholarship Programme promotes knowledge exchange and leadership development. The Application Deadline is 20 May 2025.

To apply for the MSP, you must:

  • Be a professional and national of one of the selected MENA countries (e.g., Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia)
  • Young professionals aged 45 or younger, living and working in one of the participating countries.
  • Half of the scholarships per country are reserved for female applicants; strong encouragement for women to apply.
  • Group Training: Staff from the same organization or groups with similar training needs can apply for tailor-made training (TMT) delivered by a Dutch institution.
  • Be nominated by your employer
  • Your professional field and your employer’s activities must align with your country’s specific focus areas.
