The Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (NSSCJ) 2025 is a fully funded, two-week intensive program hosted at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, from August 17 to 30, 2025. The Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (NSSCJ), launched by the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), is a transformative program that empowers young climate advocates across Africa and beyond. It focuses on climate justice, equity, and inclusive development by providing a platform for learning, mentorship, and collaboration
Since 2020, NSSCJ has trained over 1,500 participants from 87 countries through hands-on, solution-focused modules. Nairobi Summer School connects scholar-activists, youth leaders, and practitioners to spark innovative ideas and drive grassroots climate action in their communities. The application deadline is May 5, 2025.
Theme: Aspiring to a Liveable Future- Youth-Led Transformation in the Polycrisis Era. The purpose of the Summer School is to inspire young people in Africa to take action on climate justice, with a strong focus on promoting both environmental and social justice in their communities.
