Sabanci University PURE Summer Program 2025: Turkiye

The Sabancı University PURE (Program for Undergraduate Research) Summer 2025 offers students a fully funded 8-week research opportunity in Istanbul, Türkiye. Undergraduate students from any university can apply for the Sabanci University PURE Summer Program, held from July 7 to August 28, 2025. During this period, participants will work on research projects across various fields in the labs of Sabancı University faculty.

30 students can get the Sabanci University PURE Summer Program scholarship, which covers Airfare, Accommodation, Stipend, Tuition, and all Social and Cultural Activities. To apply, students should review the available projects on the PURE website, register, and complete the online application form. Applications will be accepted only online between March 26 and April 11, 2025, by 16:00 (Turkish Time).

Eligibilities for Sabanci University PURE Summer Program

General Rules (For All Students)

Open only to undergraduate students (domestic & international).
Graduate students are not eligible.
Apply for up to 6 projects, but can join only 1.
Assignments based on faculty evaluations.
Program language: English (no proficiency certificate required).
Students must have good academic standing and basic English skills.
Certificate of participation provided upon successful completion.
Must attend at least 3 seminars, complete a final report, and prepare a poster and presentation.
Students using labs must complete Lab Safety training.
Must have valid health insurance. (SGK valid for Turkish citizens)

Extra Rules for Sabancı University Students

Can’t apply if enrolled in Summer Internship or Summer School.
Can join if there’s no schedule conflict with other programs.

Additional Info for Non-SU and International Students

PURE can count as an internship, but follow your own university’s rules.
No stipend is provided, but SU will sign internship confirmations.
30 international students may receive additional Ministry of Culture scholarships.
Others must cover their own expenses (visa, travel, insurance).
SU provides an acceptance certificate, not visa support.

Certificate Requirements (Summer Term)

Attend all project sessions.

Upload final report and poster on time.

Missing any requirement means no certificate.

PURE Fall & Spring (Only for SU Students)

Duration: Full semester.
No seminars, poster, or presentation.
