King’s Commonwealth PhD Fellowship Program 2025

​The King’s Commonwealth PhD Fellowship Program support professionals and academic staff from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to pursue a PhD in their home country while working. Fellows receive joint supervision from a partner university in the Commonwealth (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the UK) and attend study or research training periods.

​The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) offers the Graduate Professional Program 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. UNIDIR Graduate Professional Program is six-month opportunity, commencing in May 2025, invites international graduates to engage in research, reporting, and outreach related to Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS). Participants can choose between on-site work in Geneva or remote engagement.

Merck Research Grant 2025 in Germany | Up to €500,000

The Merck Research Grant 2025 offers substantial funding of up to €500,000 per year for up to three years, aiming to stimulate innovative research in areas of future significance. This grant is open to scientists at all career stages who are affiliated with any research-based institution, university, or company worldwide. Merck Research Grant is not limited to specific universities or institutions in Germany. The application deadline is August 31, 2025.

GHBN Summer School 2025 in South Africa

The Global Health Bioethics Network (GHBN) is hosting an annual Summer School, a small conference/workshop focused on global health bioethics, skills training, and emerging ethical issues. The 2025 GHBN Summer School will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from September 15–18, covering themes like climate change and health ethics, justice and equity, mental health, and AI in healthcare. This fully funded program aims to enhance participants’ skills in addressing ethical issues in global health research, practice, and policy. Two fully funded spots are open for LMIC-based bioethics researchers.
